On March 19, 1946, the academician, Prof. Dr. Vladimir M. Spužić, pioneer of allergology, established the first allergology clinic in Serbia, at the then III Internal Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade. As a sign of lasting memory and respect for the great work of Prof. Dr. Vladimir Spužić, the Clinic for Allergology and Immunology of the Clinical Center of Serbia established the annual scientific symposium “Prof. Dr. Vladimir Spužić”, dedicated to the life and work of the great man of our medicine.
